Spectrum Monitoring

The spectrum monitoring solution detects the interference in the frequency bands used by wireless content broadcasters as well as monitors the spectra adjacent to the bands in use in order to detect and possibly, remove the interference.

One of the main concerns in this regard is monitoring of the video broadcasting (TV) over satellite. These services are offered using very specific formats and over certain frequency bands, hence the solution concentrates on these bands and formats.

The spectrum monitoring solution consists of a series of subsystems:

• Antennas of different size and with different LNB’s to receive signal from a list of satellites covering the territory of interest.
• Receivers and Video Decoders IRDs tuned to different formats and programmable (locally and remotely) to vary the parameters of the signal to be monitored.
• Monitoring software and hardware in order to extract the parameters of the received signal, visualize them and log them for further off-line analysis.
• Antenna and decoding systems for monitoring the broadcasting Earth stations.
